The Nonó Museum of Art History

The Nonó Museum of Art History is a local art and cultural history museum located in Angono, Rizal, a town officially recognized as the Art Capital of the Philippines. The museum is dedicated to showcasing the unique history of art, culture, and heritage of Angono, tracing its development from early artistic beginnings to the works of its most notable local masters.

Its collections include artworks and cultural artifacts that reflect Angono’s rich artistic

legacy, featuring pieces by Juan Senson and Pedro Peñon, as well as a centerpiece

painting by Jose “Pitok” Blanco. The museum also displays sculptures, including a bust

of Dr. José Rizal by Kiko Senson, and preserves the original manuscript of Readings in

the History of Angono (1969), an important document in the town’s historical

record.Through its exhibits, the Nonó Museum of Art History aims to preserve Angono’s

cultural identity and artistic heritage, helping both local residents and visitors gain a

deeper understanding of how the town evolved into a vibrant and enduring art

community.
