ANGONO NATIONAL SYMPHONIC BAND (Banda Uno) The Angono National Symphonic Band is one of the earliest and most distinguished musical ensembles founded in the town of Angono, Rizal. Established by Elpidio San Pedro, the band was later nurtured and artistically shaped by his son, the late National Artist for Music, Maestro Lucio D. San Pedro. Under Maestro San Pedro’s guidance, the ensemble was instilled with exceptional discipline, musical integrity, and a deep commitment to artistic excellence—values that continue to define the band to this day.

Saint Clement Symphonic Band SAINT CLEMENT SYMPHONIC BAND, INC. (SCSB) was organize on February, 2008 by a French Horn player popularly known as Boy Tuazon through the help of his brother Manuel Tuazon and started with talented musician who came from family bond and now had reached to eighty (100) members, coming from families here in Angono, mostly elementary, high school and out of school youth students.

Angono Concert Band Inc. The Angono Concert Band Inc., formerly known as Banda sa Itaas or Banda Dos, is one of the oldest musical bands in the town of Angono. During the time of President Manuel L. Quezon, the band performed in a special gathering called a “Picnic,” held in Biga, Angono in October 1935. The event was organized by Mrs. Justa Guido and Mrs. Aurora Quezon as a recognition of the musical talent of Angono’s musicians. In its early days, the band primarily used bamboo instruments, locally referred to as “Musikong Bumbong,” which were played during town fiestas and other important community celebrations.

ANGONO YOUTH BAND The Angono Youth Band was formed by late 2nd nd Lt. Felimon G. Balajadia of the Philippine Air Force on June 1, 2000 with 24 young and talented musicians of the town of Angono, Rizal. The band's humble beginning had its fair share of hardships and trials. Early in its inception, the band had few instruments to work on. But (Ret) 2 nd Lt. Balajadia slowly but surely bonded the group and enhanced their musicality through constant practice and hardwork. Maestro Lucio D. San Pedro San Pedro is one of the bands' earliest benefactors who quided its formation.

Angono Unity Band Singko The Angono Unity Band Singko, established in 2015 in Angono, Rizal, began its journey on May 31, 2015 during the Grand Flores de Mayo celebration in Barangay Libid, Binangonan. It was during this event that a group of musician friends and acquaintances came together to form a band rooted in camaraderie and shared passion for music. At its inception, the group consisted of five active members, which inspired the name Angono Unity Band Singko.

ANGONO WIND ENSEMBLE INC. The Angono Wind Ensemble Inc. was founded in 1993 by 18 young and talented musicians under the leadership of Professor Jose Romel Gragera. Most of its founding members were former musicians of the Angono National High School Band, and with the strong support of Mrs. Cynthia Cruz, then principal of the school, the ensemble steadily grew in both membership and reputation.

Maestro Agripino “Nonoy” Villamayor Diestro is one of the Philippines’ most distinguished conductors, educators, and cultural leaders. He earned his degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of the Philippines College of Music in 1990. Shortly after, he pursued advanced studies in Orchestral Direction at the Conservatoire National de Région de Reims in France under Jean-Sébastien Béreau and Ferdinand Koch, where he was awarded the Golden Medal of Excellence, the highest honor of the conservatory. At the same time, he further honed his craft as an auditeur at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.

Professor Manuel “Weweng” S.P. Bautista

Professor Manuel “Weweng” S.P. Bautista is acknowledged as one of the most distinguished figures in the history of Angono, Rizal, whose lifelong dedication to music significantly contributed to the preservation and advancement of the town’s musical heritage. Born on January 26, 1929, in Angono, he was the son of Aproniano Bautista and Salvadora “Bangge” San Pedro, the elder sister of National Artist for Music Maestro Lucio D. San Pedro. This familial connection placed him within a prominent musical lineage that profoundly influenced his artistic development and enduring commitment to cultural service.
